Robson Carvalho dos Santos holds a bachelor's degree, a teaching degree (licentiate), and a master's degree in philosophy from the Faculty of Philosophy, Languages and Literature, and Human Sciences at the University of São Paulo (USP). During his undergraduate studies, he conducted a scientific initiation research project (FAPESP: Process No. 2018/19978-4) on the meanings of the concept of aesthetics in Kant's work, with an emphasis on the "Transcendental Aesthetic." His research aimed to justify the position of this chapter within the Critique of Pure Reason, explain its argumentative structure using the concept of space as a guiding thread, and identify the texts in which Kant's approach to the concept of space reveals a contribution to the development and formulation of transcendental idealism as presented in the first Critique (2018-2020).He has been a member of the german philosophy group from the University of São Paulo since 2017, where research is conducted on various aspects of Kantian philosophy as well as German idealism. He is also a founding member of GEIA (Study Group on German Idealism and its Antecedents), where he initiated a programmatic study of the reception of the Critique of Pure Reason, including readings of texts by Eberhard and Fichte, as well as studies on philosophical reading methodologies (20162022). Additionally, he served on the editorial board of the journal Primeiros Escritos (20162018), a publication by the USP Department of Philosophy dedicated to undergraduate research. In the master's program of the Graduate Program in the Department of Philosophy at USP, he studied from 2021 to 2025 (CAPES-Proex) under the guidance of Maurício Cardoso Keinert, focusing on the role played by the concept of space in the development of Kant's philosophy, with an emphasis on pre-critical texts and their contribution to elucidating the nature of transcendental idealism. During his master's studies, he was awarded a DAAD scholarship to attend an intensive German language course offered by the University of Leipzig (Hochschulwinterkurs 2024 Mein Leipzig lob ich mir Herder Institut).Currently, under the guidance of Maurício Cardoso Keinert, he is pursuing doctoral research on Kantian philosophy. His research focuses on the Critique of Pure Reason, particularly on the concept of philosophical method as presented by Kant in the Transcendental Doctrine of Method. The aim of this research is to investigate whether the notion of philosophical method and the argumentative procedures presented in the chapter on method are applied within the Critique of Pure Reason itself (especially in the Transcendental Doctrine of Elements) or whether they are reserved by Kant for application in later developments of his philosophy.
