Marlos Cortez Sampaio

Biologist (Bachelor's and Teaching Degree - UNINOVE, São Paulo), Master and PhD in Sciences with an emphasis on Immunology (ICB-USP), and Postdoctoral Fellow in Cell Therapy and Translational Medicine with Stem Cells at the Albert Einstein Israeli Hospital. He has over 15 years of experience in biological, biomedical, and clinical research, with expertise in cell culture, cellular and molecular biology, cell therapy, animal experimentation, and welfare. He is the founder and CEO of SAPIENS, a company dedicated to scientific and technological innovation, as well as education in clinical and preclinical research. He coordinates projects in the areas of animal welfare, development of simulators, and new environmental enrichment strategies for animal facilities. He serves as a scientific consultant at Alesco, clinical research coordinator at Santa Casa de São Paulo, and collaborator in projects with FMVZ-USP, where he develops patented technologies aimed at education, animal welfare, and experimentation, as well as a project for the creation of a computerized management system for animal facilities. He has supervised a professional master's project at IPEN, serves as a member of graduate thesis committees (USP and Fiocruz-RJ), and is the author of an e-book aimed at transforming educators into researchers in Science and Technology. He has experience in teaching at both secondary and higher education levels, delivers practical classes and technical training, organizes academic events, and has been a volunteer judge at FEBRACE and other science fairs since 2012.
