Physician from the State University of São Paulo (UNESP-1977); Master in Clinical Medicine (Unicamp-1988); PhD in Pediatrics (Unicamp-1994); Prof Livre Docente (Unicamp-2007); Full Professor (Pediatrics, Discipline of Pediatric Pulmonology - Unicamp-2012). At Unicamp: I) Full-time Professor of the Department of Pediatrics of the Faculty of Medical Sciences since 1980; II) Coordinator of the Postgraduate Course (strict sense) in Child and Adolescent Health (2000-2004); III) Coordinator of the Pediatrics Department (2007-2009); IV) Associate Coordinator (2010-2014) and Coordinator (2014-2018) of the Center for Pediatric Research (CIPED); V) Founder and Coordinator of the Pediatric Pulmonology Discipline 1980-2021; VI) Coordinator of the Medical Residency Course (RM 995) and of the In-Service Training Course in Pediatric Pulmonology of the Department of Pediatrics (1980-2021); VII) Founder and Head of the Pulmonary Physiology Laboratory (LAFIP) of the Pediatric Research Center (CIPED), VIII) Honored Professor of the 18th Medicine class of FCM/Unicamp. IX) Full Professor of the Postgraduate Course in Child and Adolescent Health. X) To date, he has supervised 73 stricto sensu postgraduate students: 47 Masters, 25 doctorates and 1 post-doctorate. He obtained 58 academic awards and titles from scientific and academic entities and from scientific research carried out. Fellow (Research Productivity 2) from CNPq: 2003-2007 and 2014-2023. Researcher at FAPESP and CNPq, from which he obtained: FAPESP: 12 grants; CNPq: 7 grants. He has written 52 book chapters and published 239 articles in indexed national and international journals. He has participated in 283 Examining Boards for Master's, Doctorate and qualification exams, 25 examination boards for tenured professors and associate professors at numerous Universities in Brazil. He has given 1,365 lectures at national and international conferences. He was president of the Department of Pediatric Pulmonology of the Brazilian Society of Pediatrics (SBP) and of the Brazilian Society of Pulmonology and Tisiology (SBPT) (2004-2010). Member of the Pediatric Pulmonology DC of the SBP (2020-2024). Coordinator of the Cystic Fibrosis Commission of the SBPT (2010-2012). Founding member of the Brazilian Study Group on Cystic Fibrosis (GBEFC). He has experience in Medicine, with an emphasis on respiratory tract diseases in children and adolescents. He has a Specialist Title in Pediatrics and Pediatric Pulmonology. Research area: chronic obstructive respiratory diseases with an emphasis on asthma, cystic fibrosis, bronchiolitis obliterans, recurrent wheezing.
