Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences (teaching), with a master's and doctorate in Biochemistry from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), my academic journey includes an exchange experience through the Sandwich Doctorate Program (PDSE-CAPES) at the University of California, Davis, USA, under the guidance of Professor Walter Leal.My research focus lies in reverse chemical ecology, particularly in the study of the olfactory system of vector insects and agricultural pests. I seek to understand the mechanisms underlying the olfaction of these organisms, as well as to explore the discovery of new bioactive molecules for their manipulation. In 2019, I began my first postdoctoral internship at the University of São Paulo (USP), investigating the chemical communication between Piperaceae and Eois ssp., under the supervision of Professor Massuo Kato.Currently, I am involved in a postdoctoral program in Molecular Protozoology, under the guidance of Dr. Maria Carolina Sabbaga. My objective is to explore the dynamics of DNA replication, aiming to understand its role in the infection caused by Trypanosoma cruzi.Throughout my career, I have explored various areas such as molecular genomics, bioinformatics, medical entomology, DNA replication of trypanosomatids, reverse chemical ecology, chemical ecology, and natural products.
