Holds a Bachelor's and Teaching Degree in Biological Sciences from Centro Universitário Fundação Santo André, a specialization in Medical Entomology, a Master's in Public Health from the School of Public Health at the University of São Paulo, and is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the same institution. She is a member of the CADDE group (Brazil-UK Centre for (Arbo)virus Discovery, Diagnosis, Genomics, and Epidemiology). Her research focuses on public health, with an emphasis on medical entomology, arboviruses, molecular biology, and SARS-CoV-2. Additionally, she develops next-generation sequencing protocols on the Oxford Nanopore platform for the detection of respiratory viruses and Trypanosoma cruzi. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
