Pedro Henrique de Santana Schmalz

He is currently working on his doctorate at the Department of Political Science at the University of São Paulo (DCP-USP). He graduated in Social Sciences from the Faculty of Philosophy, Letters and Human Sciences - FFLCH/USP (2021), where he was a FAPESP scholarship holder in the Department of Political Science in a scientific initiation program with NECI (Center for Comparative and International Studies). He also works as a researcher at the Solidarity Research Network - Public Policies and Society, which monitors public policies adopted by mayors, governors and the federal government to combat the spread of COVID-19 in Brazil, and as a research assistant in the AVISA project at the Butantã Institute . Finally, he participates as an assistant to the research coordinator, Lorena Barberia, in the PUB Research Project entitled "Sentiment Analysis and Positioning in Tweets from Political Elites about COVID-19 Vaccines using Machine Learning", starting in 09/2023.
