CV Lattes ORCID

Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Faculdade de Ciências Farmacêuticas de Ribeirão Preto (FCFRP)  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

She holds a Ph.D. in Natural Sciences (2018) from the Technical University of Braunschweig (TU-Braunschweig), Braunschweig, Germany, where she conducted research on secondary metabolites of filamentous fungi against biofilms of pathogenic bacteria at the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research (HZI). Her diploma is apostilled by the Hague Convention and recognized in Brazil by the University of São Paulo (USP) as a Doctor of Biosciences and Biotechnology, specializing in Bioagents and Biotechnology applied to Pharmacy, with a focus on Natural Products from Microorganisms. Recently, she completed a postdoctoral fellowship (2019-2023) at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Ribeirão Preto-University of São Paulo (FCFRP-USP) in partnership with the University of Muenster (WWU-Muenster), Germany, with financial support from FAPESP, with the project "Discovery of the secondary metabolites of Malouetia tamaquarina and its endophytes against Neglected Tropical Diseases". She also conducted another postdoctoral fellowship at EMBRAPA of Western Amazon in 2019, participating in the project "AmazonMicro - Prospection of Molecules and Development of Biotechnological Products and/or Processes". She has experience in the following areas: i) collection, isolation, and preservation of microorganisms; ii) microbial fermentation under different cultivation conditions on a small scale; iii) taxonomic and molecular identification of microorganisms; iv) in vitro pharmacological tests (antimicrobials and antibiofilms); v) extraction of microbial and plant secondary metabolites; vi) fractionation and purification of active crude extracts (TLC; CC; HPLC); vii) construction of metabolomic networks (LC MS-MS); and viii) structural elucidation of isolated bioactive compounds (NMR and LC-MS-MS). She holds a Master's degree in Agricultural Microbiology from the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV), Minas Gerais, Brazil (2013), where she developed a project on the environmental and physiological conditions favoring the production of carotenoids by the yeast Rhodotorula mucilaginosa. She also holds a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences (2011) from the Federal University of Amazonas (UFAM), Manaus, Brazil, where she worked during internships at INPA and UFAM on the optimal growth conditions of a filamentous fungus from the Amazon, including its isolation, antimicrobial activities, and molecular identification. She received the award for the best Innovative Project by FCFRP-USP, Brazil in 2023 and the award for the best poster presented at the Symposium by HZI, Germany in 2019. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
