Paula Renata Cerdeira Gomez

I am an MBA from INSEAD and an Engineer and a Doctor in Engineering from UNICAMP. I co-founder and CEO of Epistemic, worked in a strategic consulting company called Value Partners participating in projects in different countries of Latin America, worked at Natura Cosméticos as a financial manager, as a vice-president in an MA boutique called Principal Partners, and as a CFO in a start-up company in renewable energies called EBER. I am fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and English. During my career years I have had the opportunity of participating in important strategic projects and directly dealing with CEOs from large corporations. At Natura I was a controller for several areas (marketing, sales and logistics), I made several logistics optimization projects and tax/tributary studies, and I was the financial manager in the corporate area centralizing the companys information, performing the business forecasts and business plans for the executive committee and the council. Then, I worked in an MA boutique where I modeled and analyzed operations and dealt with entrepreneurs that already had medium size companies. Finally, I became the CFO and COO of a renewable energy company, where I was responsible for the financial, strategic and operations areas, handling the departments daily life, and the construction of all of the projects business plans and of the companys business plan as a whole, and today I am responsible for a startup.I also lectured for 15 years. Today I work in a startup called Epistemic that develops a completly innovative medical device to advice patients with epilepsy in advance of a seizure so they can prepare and have more quality of life.
