Graduated in Chemical Engineering (2009) from the Regional University of Blumenau (FURB), with a Masters degree (2012) and PhD (2015) in Chemical Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), including a PhD sandwich period (20132014) at the University of Granada (UGR), Spain. Completed two postdoctoral fellowships at the Department of Chemical and Food Engineering at UFSC (2016 and 2017) and a third postdoctoral position at the Department of Biotechnology, Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf, Germany (20232024). Since 2017, she has been an Assistant Professor at the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP). She leads the Research Group on Recovery Processes and Waste Treatment (REEECOVERY) and coordinates the Laboratory of Environmental Biotechnology, Biorecovery, and Waste Treatment (BIO2RECOVER) at UNIFESP. Her research focuses on Chemical Engineering and Environmental Biotechnology, with an emphasis on processing and sustainability, particularly in the development of strategies for industrial waste treatment, reuse of by-products, and recovery of critical materials.
