Graduated in Chemical Engineering (2009) from the Regional University of Blumenau (FURB); Master (2012) and PhD (2015) in Chemical Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) with a sandwich doctorate period (2013-2014) at the University of Granada - UGR, Spain. I held two postdoctoral degrees at the Department of Chemical Engineering and Food Engineering at UFSC (2016 and 2017) and a third one at the Department of Biotechnology at Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf, in Germany (2023-2024). Since 2017, I have been an Adjunct Professor at the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP). I am the Leader of a Research Group on Waste Recovery and Treatment Processes (REEECOVERY) and coordinate the Environmental Biotechnology, Biorecovery, and Waste Treatment Laboratory (BIO2RECOVER) at UNIFESP. I have experience in Chemical Engineering and Environmental Biotechnology, with an emphasis on processing and sustainability, working mainly in the removal/treatment of industrial waste and the reuse and recovery of critical materials present in waste.
