I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Informatics from the University of São Paulo (USP), followed by a Master of Science degree in Biochemistry from the Ribeirão Preto Medical School at USP (FMRP-USP). Currently, I am pursuing a Ph.D. in Neuroscience at the Faculté de Médecine at Université Laval.During my academic journey, I've had the opportunity to engage in a variety of research experiences. As an undergraduate, I was awarded a PIBIC scholarship at the Department of Cellular and Molecular Biology and Pathogens at FMRP-USP. I also delved into research at the OMICs laboratory within the Department of Genetics at FMRP-USP, and gained practical experience as an intern at the Department of Pharmacology Bioterium at FMRP-USP. Throughout my master's program, I was honoured to be a FAPESP fellow at the Gliocobiochemistry and Infectious Diseases Laboratory, within the Biochemistry and Immunology Department at FMRP - USP.Beyond my academic pursuits, I am actively involved as a managing member of the "Ilha do Conhecimento" (Knowledge Island) website, a project dedicated to making science accessible to Portuguese-speaking audiences. My expertise spans multiple areas, including Neuroscience, Genetics, Bioinformatics (with a focus on human gene networks in Major Depressive Disorder), and Microbiology (with a specialization in extracellular fungal vesicles and the genus Aspergillus).
