Abstract
The Cretaceous (i.e., Crato and Romualdo formations) of the Araripe Basin, records some of the most spectacular fossil-rich deposits (Konservat-Largestätten) of the Mesozoic, which were generated during the Gondwana break-up and consequently South Atlantic Ocean opening.
