Graduated in Ciencias del Mar - Universidad de Cádiz (1997), Ph.D. in Oceanography (Biological Oceanography) from the University of São Paulo (2004). He is currently assistant professor in Bachalerado Interdisciplinar em Ciência e Tecnologia do Mar, on Campus Baixada Santista of the Universidade Federal de São Paulo. Has experience in Oceanography, with emphasis on Biological Oceanography, studying ecology, community structure, and productivity of phytoplankton taxonomy and ecology and productivity of bacterioplankton in coastal, ocean and Antarctic environments.
