Currently, he is temporary lecture in the Veterinary Medicine course at IFRO. Holds postdoctoral degree (2023) from the Institute of Biomedical Sciences (ICB) at the University of São Paulo (USP), with FAPESP grant. Earned his PhD (2018) from ICB/USP, Department of Parasitology, including research period at the University of Pretoria, in the Veterinary Tropical Diseases Department, South Africa. Graduated in Veterinary (2011) from the Federal University of Tocantins (UFT).During his postgraduate studies, Developed projects in the field of molecular phylogeny and taxonomy of trypanosomes in fish, reptiles, and birds, working across all stagesfrom the active capture of wild animals or the use of traps to the collection of biological material, in vitro parasite cultivation, molecular diagnostics, next-generation DNA sequencing, genome sequencing, and bioinformatics analysis. In addition to describing new species of trypanosomes, he also characterised their biological cycles and haematophagous vectors (arthropods and hirudineans).In the Veterinary Medicine course at IFRO Jaru, teaches the subjects Wildlife Clinical Practice, Veterinary Anaesthesiology, Animal Anatomy, and Molecular Biology. He is the coordinator of the Wildlife Study Group at this institution. For the Technical Course in Animal Science, taught Animal Anatomy and Physiology. Beyond his teaching role, he works in routine clinical care for wild animals at the veterinary clinic of the Federal Institute of Rondônia. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
