CV Lattes ORCID

Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Instituto de Ciências Biomédicas (ICB)  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

I am a biologist graduated from UFSCar and a Ph.D. candidate in Human Physiology at ICB-USP. My research investigates the role of the olfactory system in CO2 detection and its influence on ventilation and behavior. During my research internship at Harvard Medical School, I used photometry, chemogenetics, and behavioral assays to study neural circuits involved in respiration and chemical perception. I have experience in plethysmography, histology, and physiological data analysis. In addition to research, I engage in science communication, contributing to the advancement of neuroscience and its interface with respiratory control. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
