Birthplace: Brazil

Undergraduate student in Biological Sciences at UNESP (Rio Claro-SP). Conducted a Scientific Initiation research project at the Laboratory of Systematics and Ecology of Fungi (LESF), investigating fungal competition in the fungiculture of the attine ant Mycocepurus goeldii, supported by a FAPESP scholarship. Completed an internship at the Laboratory of Microorganism Chemistry (LQMo) in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at FCFRP-USP (Ribeirão Preto-SP), where he isolated microorganisms and used mixed cultures as a strategy to stimulate the biosynthesis of natural products by fungi, in addition to performing metabolite extraction and chromatographic and mass spectrometry analyses. He has experience in basic molecular biology, basic bioinformatics, and techniques for cultivating edible and medicinal mushrooms. Currently holds a technical training fellowship at the Natural Products Laboratory, part of the Drug Discovery Division of the Brazilian National Biosciences Laboratory (LNBio), which is integrated into the Brazilian Center for Research in Energy and Materials (CNPEM). He is interested in specialized fungal metabolites and their biotechnological applications, with a focus on discovering new bioactive natural products of pharmaceutical interest.
