Eduardo Polloni Silva is an Adjunct Professor at the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul (UFMS), in the city of Três Lagoas, within the Department of Production Engineering. Eduardo has a Ph.D. in Production Engineering by the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar-São Carlos) with a research internship abroad at the Department of Management, Strategy and Innovation (MSI), KU Leuven, Belgium. Eduardo also obtained a Master's degree at UFSCar and a Bachelor's degree from the Federal University of Grande Dourados (UFGD) with a study period abroad at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). His research involves quantitative methods and econometrics, which are usually employed towards macroeconomic problems. In general, Eduardo investigates the effects of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in Brazil through distinct perspectives (e.g. productivity, human development, and sustainability).
