João Pedro do Valle Alvarenga is a PhD candidate in Information Technology in the area of #8203;#8203;Systems and Control at Politecnico di Milano. He holds a master's degree in Computational Physics from the University of São Paulo (2024) and a bachelor's degree in Physical Engineering from the Federal University of São Carlos (2022). During his master's degree, he did an exchange program at Ghent University (2023). His research covers time series, machine learning, artificial intelligence, dynamical systems, nonlinear dynamics, and chaos theory, with a focus on modeling and forecasting complex phenomena. He has experience in developing neural network architectures applied to the analysis of dynamical systems and in the extraction of quantitative metrics, such as Lyapunov exponents and fractal dimensions.
