Lucca de Albuquerque Cavalcanti Savio

Graduated in Marine Sciences and Technologies from the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP) in 2018, and in the Postgraduate Program in Biodiversity and Marine and Coastal Ecology (UNIFESP) in 2021. He works as an Offshore Environmental Analyst at the Operational Nucleus of Environmental Analysis (NOAA-IM/Petrobras), carrying out deep-sea biodiversity monitoring and sediment and water collections in regions and oil zones in Brazil. He also holds Dive Master level diving certification by Scuba Skills International (SSI). He has experience in scientific diving, handling exotic corals, screening and collecting sediment, setting up underwater experiments, monitoring biodiversity through the use of underwater photography (Software CPCe; photoQuad). He also acted as an environmental education and field research volunteer in the Mantas do Brasil project; and in the Alcatrazes Integrated Management Nucleus team, handling invasive corals. He was also part of the sun coral management team at the Laje de Santos Marine State Park.
