Luana Passos Reis

PhD student in Astronomy at IAG-USP, conducting research in the area of Extragalactic Astrophysics with an emphasis on Plasmas and High Energies. Bachelor in Physics by University of São Paulo (USP), did a Technical Training in programming applications for cell phones at Poli (USP) and a Scientific Initiation project in the current area of research. She participates in voluntary programs, has worked in scientific dissemination activities and was a monitor in undergraduate courses at USP. She studies the magnetohydrodynamic processes around black holes through their accretion flows and their jets, makes statistical analyzes of the luminosity of Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN) using Fermi-LAT space telescope data, seeking to recognize patterns in the Blazar classes for the Cherenkov Telescope Array.Areas of Interest and Research: Plasma and High Energy Astrophysics, Active Galactic Nuclei, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence.
