Paula Magalhães Gomes

Graduated in Nutrition from the Federal University of Ouro Preto (2012). She holds a master's degree (2015) and a PhD (2019) from the Postgraduate Program in Biological Sciences (CBIOL/NUPEB/UFOP). She completed a sandwich period at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine - Department of Medicine/Division of Renal-Electrolyte (PDSE/CAPES). She was a postdoctoral researcher in Sciences (Human Physiology) at the Department of Physiology and Biophysics of the Institute of Biomedical Sciences at the University of São Paulo (ICB/USP) and is currently a Young Doctor funded by FAPESP/CNPq in the same department. She has experience in the field of organ and system physiology, with an emphasis on neural control of blood pressure and mechanisms of sodium overload-induced hypertension, neuroinflammation, and exercise in the hypertensive context.
