PhD student at Cardiff University with research focused on the composition and evolution of the Earth's mantle. Former Bachelor and Master of Science in Geology from the University of São Paulo (Brazil).I am interested in topics such as mantle heterogeneities, mantle plumes, large igneous provinces, volcanism, and other magmatic processes (especially in oceanic settings). Also interested in integrated research approaches which combine whole-rock analyses with in situ analytical techniques in the crystal-scale to investigate magmatic systems.I have done previous research on the petrology of alkaline volcanic rocks from the western Rio Grande Rise (South Atlantic Ocean) and on the geochemistry of volcanic and sub-volcanic basaltic rocks from the Paraná-Etendeka Magmatic Province.
