Biomedical scientist with a Ph.D. and postdoctoral training in Immunology from the University of São Paulo (USP) and the University of California San Diego (UCSD). I have extensive experience in basic and translational research focusing on immunoregulation, regulatory T cells (Tregs), inflammatory diseases, autoimmunity, sepsis, leishmaniasis, and COVID-19. My academic background includes work on the phenotypic and functional characterization of immune cell subsets, experimental disease models, immunometabolism, and immune signaling pathways.I conducted postdoctoral research at the Center for Research in Inflammatory Diseases (USP) and later at UCSD, where I studied non-canonical IL-2 signaling pathways and their impact on Treg suppressive function. I have collaborated on internationally recognized projects, resulting in publications in high-impact scientific journals. In addition to my research experience, I have also worked in higher education, serving as a teaching assistant in Immunology courses at USP and as a course instructor in Cell Biology at UEL. I am proficient in key experimental techniques such as multicolor flow cytometry, real-time PCR, cell culture, PBMC isolation, gene expression analysis, and the use of murine models. I am fluent in English, have international experience, and possess strong scientific communication skills.I am particularly interested in the interface between teaching, research, and innovation, and I aim to contribute to the critical training of professionals in health and biomedical sciences.
