Birthplace: Brazil

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences (2011) and a Master's in Ecology and Conservation (2014) from the State University of Paraíba, and I completed my PhD in Biological Sciences at the Federal University of Paraíba (2019). I served as a Visiting Researcher at Vanderbilt University, USA (2023), and I recently concluded a Postdoctoral fellowship at the Museum of Zoology, University of São Paulo (2020-2024).My expertise encompasses the themes of Diversity, Ecology, and Conservation of mammals, with a strong emphasis on Spatial Analysis and Landscape Ecology applied to Agroecosystems and Forest Restoration. My research focuses on the impacts of land cover and land use changes on the diversity of terrestrial mammals, particularly within agricultural contexts. I integrate approaches from landscape ecology, population dynamics, and interspecies interactions to investigate how matrices and other landscape elements shape biodiversity distribution. My goal is to understand the implications of these changes for conservation and to develop nature-based sustainable solutions. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
