Doctorate student in the Plant Physiology and Biochemistry program from ESALQ/USP. He graduated in Agronomic Engineering in the same institution. He was a Scientific Initiation (SI) student by FAPESP under the supervision of the professor Paulo José Pereira Lima Teixeira. During his SI, he researched the recognition of pathogen effectors by plant NLR immune receptors. Furthermore, he did an internship in the laboratory of Professor Marc Tad Nishimura, from Colorado State University (USA), where he started to research the functioning of a new pair of NLR receptors. In his doctorate, he continues to identify the molecular mechanisms that determine the function of these proteins. He has experience in Biochemistry, Genetics and Molecular Biology.
