Technical training researcher at the Butantan Institute through the Centre of Excellence in New Target Discovery (CENTD), working on molecular targets for therapeutic development for osteoarthritis. Member of the Early Career Researcher Committee of the International Society on Toxinology. Completed postdoctoral research at the Butantan Institute, Immunochemistry Laboratory, through the Center for Toxins, Immune Response, and Cellular Signaling (CEPID - FAPESP). Holds a PhD and a Masters degree in Sciences with an emphasis on Cell Biology from the Department of Morphology at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), as well as a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, and served as a scientific trainee at the René Rachou Institute/Oswaldo Cruz Foundation. During the academic journey, worked on the identification of immunological markers associated with cardiac dysfunction in Chagas disease, the inflammatory/immunomodulatory mechanisms triggered by toxins from the venom of Loxosceles, and diagnostic tests for infectious-parasitic diseases. Taught courses in immunology and genetics at PROMOVE College, as well as cytology and histology of organic systems at UFMG. Participated in various national and international scientific events and received awards for best presentations and honorable mentions. Possesses experience in immunology, focusing on the following topics: monocytes and subpopulations, CD80, CD86, CD4+ T lymphocytes and subpopulations, Chagas disease, leishmaniasis, and cutaneous loxoscelism. Has experience in assays for the hydrolytic activity of enzymes, protein quantification, verification of protein purity by SDS-PAGE, protein precipitation, Western blot, flow cytometry, cell culture, RNA extraction, cDNA synthesis, RT-qPCR, immunofluorescence, Cytometric Bead Array (CBA), Milliplex assay, and wound healing assays, as well as bioinformatics analysis (MetaCore, KEGG, StringDB, Gene Ontology (GO), Ingenuity Pathway Analysis, and EnrichR).
