Birthplace: Brazil

Professor at the Institute of Physics, Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul. Bachelor's and teaching degree in Physics from the Federal University of Viçosa. Master's in Applied Physics from the same institution, where he conducted research on light-modulated electrodeposition of semiconductor materials. Ph.D. in Physics from the Federal University of Minas Gerais, where he studied protocols for implementing quantum operations in integrated photonic circuits. Completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Institute of Physics, USP, where he conducted measurements characterizing the quantum properties of optical beams generated in microcavities produced on silicon chips. Currently, he is carrying out a second post-doctoral internship at the RIKEN Center for Advanced Photonics, in Japan, where he is developing a project on the use of ultrafast pulse lasers in the production of integrated photonic devices in glass. Interested in both theoretical and experimental research in the areas of Quantum Information, Quantum Optics, Nonlinear and Ultrafast Optics. In his spare time, he writes fiction stories and plays the double bass. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
