Lucas Arantes Lorga

Bachelor's Degree in History from the Federal University of São Paulo (Unifesp). Master's student in History at Unifesp, with a FAPESP scholarship, developing the project 'Nationalism and History: Uses of Fustel de Coulanges by the journal L'Action Française during Vichy France (1940-1944).' Currently pursuing a degree in Philosophy at the same university. Conducting a research internship abroad with a FAPESP-BEPE scholarship at the Musée d'Archéologie Nationale, France, under the supervision of Laurent Olivier, General Curator of Heritage. Former member of the CNPq Research Group 'Power and Politics in the Modern Era (15th-18th centuries)' and currently part of the CNPq Research Group 'Antiquity and Modernity: Ancient History and Uses of the Past.' Leader of the CNPq Research Group 'Theory of History and Historiography - Márcia D'Alessio.' Developed two undergraduate research projects: 'The Goa Inquisition in the context of the institutions of the Estado da Índia' (PIBIC scholarship) and 'Contradictions between a French nationalism in the second half of the 19th century and the theory of the methodical school: the debate between Fustel de Coulanges and Theodor Mommsen on Alsace-Lorraine' (FAPESP scholarship). Interned at the São Paulo Historical Archive, in the Urban Memory Department. Member of the editorial team of Revista Hydra (Qualis B2) and Editor of the Research Notes Section of Revista Heródoto (Qualis B1). Served as a teaching assistant in both undergraduate and graduate courses (PAD), in subjects such as Ancient History and Contemporary History. Has experience in Modern and Contemporary History, with an emphasis on 19th and 20th-century Nationalism, French Theory of History, Contemporary French History, Uses of the Past, and Reception Theory.
