Emerson Alexandre de Oliveira Lima finished his PhD in mathematics in 2003. Since then he has worked in Pure and Applied Mathematics, especially in Inverse Problems and Optimization. In 2007, his has completed his Post Doctorate at the University of Campinas (UNICAMP) in the area of Computational Geophysics. Since 1999 he teaches as Professor of many Universities. Currently, he works at Polytechnic School of Pernambuco in undergraduate courses of Engineering and Graduate Program of Systems Engineering. He is also a collaborator in the Masters Program at the State University of Campinas and as co-supervisor of the PhD Program in Computer and Doctoral Program in Nuclear Engineering both from the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE). Recently, Scientific production has concentrated in the areas of Digital Image Processing, Industrial Tomography, Applied Mathematics and Computational Geophysics. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
