Lucas Rosan Furquim

Veterinarian and Master's student in Aquaculture at the Fisheries Institute (Instituto de Pesca), with a research focus on metabolism and gene expression in GIFT strain Nile tilapia. Currently developing a project on taurine metabolism, involving laboratory techniques such as HPLC and PCR, in collaboration with international universities. Strong interest in biotechnology, applied molecular biology, and bioinformatics. Former FAPESP research fellow in a scientific initiation project, with peer-reviewed publications in academic journals. Actively engaged in the academic community as the current graduate student representative and former president of the undergraduate student council.
