I am currently an Adjunct Professor at the Department of Animal Biology at the Federal University of Viçosa (Viçosa campus), Minas Gerais.My line of research involves systematics, biogeography and evolution of South American mammals, particularly Chiroptera and Primates. I am a doctor (2019) by the graduate program in Zoology at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (CAPES scholarship). I am a master (2013) by the graduate program in Systematics, Animal Taxonomy and Diversity at the Museum of Zoology at USP (CAPES scholarship). I have a bachelor's degree (2009) and a degree (2012) in Biological Sciences from USP. Between 2013 and 2015, I worked as field coordinator of the Black Lion Tamarin Conservation Program, at the Instituto de Pesquisas Ecológicas (IPÊ). I am currently coordinator of the Species List Committee of the Brazilian Society for the Study of Chiroptera (SBEQ). I am part of the Taxonomy Committee of the Brazilian Society of Mastozoology (SBMz) and the Nomenclature and Latin American Fellowship Committees of the American Society of Mammalogists. I am an associate editor of the scientific journals Check List and Zoologia. I'm Sofia and Luisa's father. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
