Birthplace: Brazil

I am a biologist with background in ecology of aquatic ecosystems. I have a bachelor's degree in biological sciences (2008) and master's degree in ecology (2011) from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. I recently completed my doctorate (2018) at Griffith University in Australia. I have experience in fieldwork in rivers and tropical regions of the Amazon and the Atlantic Forest in Brazil, focusing on studies of freshwater fish ecology and using predictive models to understand species distribution patterns and community ecology. Additionally, I have training in spatial prioritization, geoprocessing and systematic conservation planning for rivers and wetlands. Currently, I work on the development of a new integrated planning tool for water resource management in a watershed in Southeast Queensland in Australia. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
