Oceanographer with a B.Sc. from Universidade Federal do Rio Grande (1986) and a Ph.D. in Geology from Royal Holloway University of London (1996), presently working as a marine scientist at the Earth Observation and Geoinformatics Division from the Brazilian Space Research Institute.
