Daniel Aragão Ribeiro de Souza

He holds a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) in 2006, a Master's degree in Science and Engineering of Materials, also from UFSC, in 2010, and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the same institution in 2015. With an international trajectory, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the Bruno Kessler Foundation (Italy) from December 2015 to November 2016, and at the University of Trento (Italy) from April 2017 to April 2019. Additionally, he conducted research as a postdoctoral fellow at the São Paulo State University (UNESP) from December 2020 to August 2022, and currently continues to work as a postdoctoral fellow at UNESP, with a contract valid from 01/09/2022 to 31/08/2023. His involvement in teaching is also notable, having been a lecturer at the undergraduate level in the Department of Physics at UFSC in 2011, 2012, and 2015, and at UNIBAVE University in 2010, 2011, and 2012. Additionally, he taught in Basic Education at the Feliciano Nunes Pires Military Police College in 2013, 2014, and 2015, and at other Basic Education institutions from 2006 to 2013. His expertise covers the area of Materials and Metallurgical Engineering, with a focus on Electrodeposition, Thin Films, Waveguides, Light Concentrators, Magnetism, and Electrical Properties of Metals and Alloys, as well as thermal and mechanical properties. Furthermore, he has extensive experience in assembling experimental setups, semiconductor devices, electrochromic materials, synthesis, and optical properties of zinc oxide, including its photocatalytic and antimicrobial action.
