I hold a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, and a Master's and PhD in Social Anthropology from the University of Brasília. I have served as a substitute lecturer in the Department of Public Health at the University of Brasília. I was awarded the Colin Murray Award for Postdoctoral Research in Southern Africa and was a visiting researcher at Queen's University in Kingston, Canada. I am currently a PIPD fellow (Capes) at the University of Campinas (Unicamp), a temporary lecturer at the same university, and coordinator of the African Studies Committee of the Brazilian Anthropological Association. My research interests include sexuality, LGBT movements, queer mobilities, health, historiography, ethnography, anthropological theory, and African contexts. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
