He holds a bachelor's degree (2013) and a master's degree (2015) in Chemical Engineering from the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRRJ). He earned a PhD (2020) in Chemical Engineering from the Graduate Program in Chemical Engineering at the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar). He taught the course Quality Management and Process Design for the Chemical Industry in the Department of Chemical Engineering at UFRRJ. In 2021, he completed a postdoctoral fellowship under the PRH-ANP/FINEP program at UFSCar. He was a visiting researcher at the Technical University of Denmark from January to December 2023. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher at Embrapa Instrumentation. He has experience in several areas, including modeling and simulation using Aspen Plus, SuperPro Designer, and EMSO; technical, economic, and environmental analyses of industrial (bio)processes, especially biorefineries; Systems Engineering tools in (bio)processes such as optimization, uncertainty (risk) analysis, sensitivity analysis, energy integration, among others; computer languages (mainly C/C++, Scilab, Matlab, and Python); separation processes, particularly supercritical fluid extraction and solid-phase microextraction; analytical techniques such as Liquid and Gas Chromatography, Mass Spectrometry; and analog electronics.
