She holds a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the University of São Paulo, with a research internship at Kyoto University, Japan. Her research focuses on the interface between continuous optimization and algebraic structures associated with symmetric cones. She earned both her M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees in Mathematics, with dual qualifications in teaching and pure mathematics, from the Federal University of Amazonas. She is currently a professor at the Federal University of São Paulo, Osasco campus, and serves as coordinator of the PICME (Scientific and Masters Initiation Program) and vice-coordinator of the PROFMAT (Professional Masters in Mathematics in National Network) at the São José dos Campos campus.
