PhD candidate in the Graduate Program in Genetics and Molecular Biology (CAPES score 7), with a concentration in Microorganism Genetics, at the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), working in the Genomics and bioEnergy Laboratory (LGE). Supervised by Prof. Dr. Gonçalo Amarante Guimarães Pereira and co-supervised by Dr. Fellipe Bezerra de Mello, developing the project Quantitative trait mapping of fermentation and laboratory adaptive evolution of Saccharomyces cerevisiae under very high gravity industrial conditions.Holds a Masters degree from the same program and area of concentration (UNICAMP), having developed the project Development of a non-GMO microbial platform for industrial fermentation of sugarcane molasses, conducted in partnership with the private company Leaf (by Lesaffre).Graduated with a Bachelors degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP). During his undergraduate studies, carried out two scientific initiation projects at the National Laboratory of Biosciences (LNBio/CNPEM), the first funded by a PIBIC-CNPq scholarship (20202021) and the second by a FAPESP scholarship (20212022), both under the supervision of Dr. Celso Eduardo Benedetti. The project focused on the Identification of the mechanism of action of a quinazoline compound with antimicrobial activity against phytopathogenic bacteria of the genus Xanthomonas. In 2023, completed an internship at the National Laboratory of Biorenewables (LNBr/CNPEM), funded by an institutional scholarship, with the project Prospecting new xylose isomerases for efficient pentose consumption by Saccharomyces cerevisiae, supervised by Dr. Nádia Maria Vieira Sampaio.Has experience in genetics and microbiology, with an emphasis on metabolic engineering, synthetic biology, industrial microbiology, microbial strain development, high-cell-density fermentation, and protein purification.
