Jussara is currently a doctoral student in Chemistry under the supervision of Professor Watson Loh at the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), with an exchange period from April 2023 to April 2024 under the supervision of Professor Sarah Perry at the University of Massachusetts Amherst (UMass). She holds a bachelor's degree in Industrial Chemistry from the Federal University of Ouro Preto (2017) and a master's degree in Chemistry with an emphasis on Physical Chemistry from the Federal University of Ouro Preto in co-supervision with the University of Coimbra (Portugal) (2019). Her research areas include Physical Chemistry, Surface and Colloid Chemistry, and Environmental Chemistry, focusing mainly on the following topics: Thermodynamics of solute partitioning (such as dyes, surfactants, and metals) in Aqueous Two-Phase Systems, obtaining new liquid-liquid equilibrium diagrams for Aqueous Two-Phase Systems, investigating dye-surfactant association, Colloids, Coacervates, and Polymeric Coacervate Micelles.
