Guilherme Ariel Machado Martins

He obtained his doctorate from the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM), under the supervision of Prof. Claudio da Cruz Silveira. During his doctorate, he completed a sandwich Ph.D. period with the group of Prof. Thomas Wirth and Dr. Nisar Ahmed at Cardiff University (UK) in the field of Organic Electrosynthesis. Later, at the invitation of Prof. Eufrânio Nunes da Silva Júnior from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), he undertook a postdoctoral fellowship in Germany with the group of Prof. Claus Jacob at Universität des Saarlandes, focusing on the synthesis of bioactive selenium compounds. Subsequently, he completed a postdoctoral fellowship with the group of Prof. Antonio Luiz Braga at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), working in the area of organic electrosynthesis. More recently, he conducted a postdoctoral fellowship in the group of Prof. Dr. Kleber de Oliveira at UFSCar, in the area of organic electrosynthesis, as well as working on the synthesis of pharmaceutical ingredients using continuous flow and the synthesis of molecules for use in Photodynamic Therapy.
