Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Instituto de Química de São Carlos (IQSC)  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

Professor at the Institute of Chemistry of São Carlos (IQSC-USP) and Principal Investigator of the FAPESP Young Researcher project on starch modification by green methods for 3D printing of bone scaffolds activated with strontium-substituted hydroxyapatite nanoparticles. She holds degrees in Chemistry, Biotechnology and Agroindustry (USP), Chemical Engineering (University of Ribeirão Preto), and a teaching degree in Chemistry (University of Franca). She earned her Masters and PhD degrees in Chemistry from FFCLRP-USP. She completed postdoctoral fellowships at USP (polymer extrusion with agro-industrial residues) and at the ONIRIS institute (France), including sandwich periods in Brazil and Italy, studying starch modification by ozone and pulsed electric field treatments. Her expertise covers natural polymers, production of pure and hybrid films, physicochemical modification of residues, and processing techniques such as casting, extrusion, and 3D printing, with a focus on functionalized biomaterials. She is the author of 46 international articles, 12 book chapters, 4 patents, and more than 60 presentations at scientific events. She currently holds a CNPq Productivity Scholarship Level 1C.https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Bianca-Maniglia (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
