Teule Lemos Branco

Environmental Engineer from Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF) and Master in Remote Sensing from the National Institute for Space Research (INPE) , works with territorial and environmental planning, geosciencies and environmental education. During her bachelor worked within agroecology and permaculture extension projects, developing skills in teamwork, leadership, and planning of ecological events and projects. She has participated and developed several courses and events on Agroecology, Bioarchitecture, Environmental Education and Ecological Sanitation. In geosciences, she started his scientific research at Embrapa Solos (Rio de Janeiro), in the Geomatics laboratory, developing high-resolution image classification and land use and land cover mapping. At post-graduation (Masters) she developed her research on dynamic spatial modeling in land use change and the influence of traditional communities in this process. She worked as an assistant researcher at the National Center for Monitoring and Alert of Natural Disasters (CEMADEN) and at the National Institute for Amazon Research (INPA), mapping forest degradation by logging. Her last job was as a collaborator at Systemica (private sector), developing REDD+ projects in geotechnology, implementation of socio-environmental activities with communities. She is active in the Rede de Mulheres Negras do Rio de Janeiro (NGO), as a form of activism in the black feminist movement, seeking to bring the dialogues of gender and race within the spaces where she acts.
