Social scientist with a degree from the University of São Paulo (2008), a masters (2012), and a Ph.D. (2018) in Social Anthropology from the same institution. Conducted research at the Laboratory of the Urban Anthropology Center at USP (NAU-USP), where he coordinated the Urban Ethnology Group (GEU) until 2018. Collaborated with the Center for Amerindian Studies (CESTA-USP), the Rural and Urban Studies Group (CERU-USP), and the Research Center on Amazonian Environments at the Amazonas State University (NEPAM-Parintins/AM). Currently, he is a researcher at the Center for Sustainability Studies at Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGVces/EAESP).His research focuses on Indigenous ethnology, urban and rural anthropology, mobility, cosmology, territory, and kinship. He has extensive experience working with Indigenous populations in the Amazon, particularly those living in circular housing systems across urbanized areas, rural territories, and Indigenous lands. His work employs ethnographic and participatory methodologies to analyze how these communities navigate traditional knowledge and urban environments.Experienced in both quantitative and qualitative research, including ethnographic methods, qualitative data analysis, and fieldwork coordination. He develops collaborative projects integrating academic research and traditional knowledge across interdisciplinary approaches.Works in disaster risk management (DRM), climate adaptation, and socio-environmental resilience, focusing on resilient reconstruction and institutional capacity-building in Brazilian municipalities. His research applies ecosystem-based adaptation (EbA) and nature-based solutions (NbS) to develop sustainable strategies for climate mitigation and adaptation.His expertise also includes sociocultural valuation of ecosystem services, socio-environmental conflicts, and climate justice, particularly in the context of traditional communities, quilombolas, and Indigenous peoples. Additionally, he has worked on food security in urban and peri-urban agriculture, developing adaptive solutions to strengthen community resilience and environmental sustainability.
