André Carvalho Lima

Bachelor in Biological Sciences (2008), bachelor degree for teaching Biological Sciences (2019), Master in Biological Sciences (Botany) (2012) and PhD in Biological Sciences (Botany), all from the University of São Paulo (2020), with an internship at the Instituto de Biología Molecular y Celular de Plantas, Valencia - Spain. Visiting researcher at Forest Products Laboratory - Madison, WI, USA between 2013 and 2014 and currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel. Has experience in Botany, with emphasis on Plant Anatomy, working mainly on the following subjects: secondary growth, xylem and phloem anatomy, wood anatomy, cambium activity, gene expression analysis, transcriptional control of cambium activity and secondary xylem differentiation, lianas, plant development, wood growth rings, photosynthesis, plant physiology.
