Kris Herik de Oliveira

Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of São Paulo Medical School (FMUSP), in collaboration with the University of California San Diego on the AIDS and Cancer Specimen Resource (ACSR) project, developing a socio-anthropological approach to organ and tissue donation for scientific research by people living with HIV/AIDS. Co-coordinator of the project "Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) for HIV Prevention in South America: Ethnography of Access, Use, and Management Experiences" (CNPq and Ministry of Health, 2024-2026), known as PrEP América do Sul (https://prepamericadosul.uea.edu.br/). Part of the Scientific Communication team of the journal Saúde e Sociedade (FSP/USP, ISSN: 1984-0470), where a scientific dissemination project was developed with a Fapesp Scientific Journalism Scholarship IV (2023-2024). Holds a Ph.D. in Social Sciences (IFCH/Unicamp, 2023) with the doctoral thesis Transplanting Hope: Technobiopolitics in Experimental Stem Cell Therapies for HIV Cure (Fapesp and CNPq scholarships), nominated for the 2024 ANPOCS Brazilian Thesis and Dissertation Award. Masters in Applied Humanities and Social Sciences (FCA/Unicamp, 2019), with the dissertation "Of Encounters, Truths, and Affections: Cartographies of Sexuality" (CAPES scholarship). Bachelors degree in Social Sciences - Anthropology (IFCH/Unicamp, 2021) and in Business Administration (Mackenzie, 2013). Volunteer researcher at LABIRINTO - Laboratory of Socio-Anthropological Studies on Life Technologies (Labjor/Unicamp).
