Rafael Kretschmer

PhD in Genetics and Molecular Biology (PPGBM) from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), with a sandwich doctorate period at the University of Cambridge (UK). Master in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Pampa, concentration area in Genetics. Bachelor in Environmental Management from the Federal University of Pampa and a degree in Biological Sciences from the Lutheran University of Brazil. Additionally, he completed postdoctoral internships at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), University of Kent (UK), and Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar). He is currently Adjunct Professor A at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) and a permanent professor in the Postgraduate Program in Genetics and Molecular Biology of the same institution. He is a member of the Brazilian Society of Genetics - SBG since 2023.
