Abstract
Implement an equalization system with room compensation based on a psychoacoustic mask and evaluate its quality for spatial audio reproduction systems. (AU)
I hold a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), class of 2024. I also earned a Certificate in Sound Engineering, conferred by UNICAMPs School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (FEEC). This certificate encompasses the following competencies:Physical acousticsAudio analysis in the time, frequency, and timefrequency domains (using spectrograms)Room acoustics (measurement and analysis of a rooms acoustic response)Electroacoustics (measurement and analysis of microphones and loudspeakers)Machine listening (digital signal processing and artificial intelligence)Audio synthesis (additive, subtractive, FM, AM, and physical modeling)Design of classic digital effectsIn addition, I developed my undergraduate thesis on loudspeaker equalization, in which I studied a filter designed to keep a rooms impulse response below an auditory masking curve. This filter was first developed for a SISO system and then applied to MISO systems to evaluate its effectiveness. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
