Psychiatrist, with Medical Residency in Psychiatry (2002-2004) and in Psychogeriatrics (2004-2005) from the Federal University of Sao Paulo (UNIFESP). Master's degree (2007) and PhD (2009) in Neuroscience and Post-Doctorate (2013) in Psychiatry from UNIFESP. Has experience in Medicine (Psychiatry and Neuroscience), working mainly in the following areas: psychiatric disorders in epilepsy, brain neuroimaging of psychiatric disorders in epilepsy, aspects associated with Psychogeriatrics, aging and neurodegenerative diseases, management and implementation of mental health services and education in Psychiatry and Mental Health. Since 2012, he has been a professor in the Department of Neurological Sciences, Psychiatry and Medical Psychology at the São José do Rio Preto School of Medicine (FAMERP), carrying out activities related to education in Psychiatry and mental health, with an emphasis on medical training. Since 2013, he has been head of the Clinical Psychiatry discipline of the undergraduate medical course at FAMERP, also acting as coordinator of the Medical Residency Program in Psychiatry at FAMERP. He is a member of the Structuring Teaching Nucleus of FAMERP, which aims to reflect on curricular changes in the institution's medical course. Since 2013, he has been a member of the faculty of advisors of the Stricto Sensu Postgraduate Programs in Health Sciences and Psychology and Health at FAMERP, teaching postgraduate courses, supervising Master's and Doctorate students, and participating in the preparation of articles, theses, books and Master's dissertation and Doctorate theses defense panels.
