Graduated in Pharmacy (2009) at Pontifícia Universidade do Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS, Brazil). MSc (2013) and PhD (2017) in Cellular and Molecular Biology by PUCRS. During his academic carreer, received the BPA-PUCRS grant for scientific initiation at PUCRS' Neurochemistry and Psychopharmacology Laboratory collaborating on the project: Caffeine effects during neural development phase, implications on modulation of adenosinergic system in adult animals. Also, participated on projects at Plant Biotechnology Laboratory at Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul. After obtaining his degree, received FINEP's Technological Development grant for working at Immunodiagnosis Laboratory at PUCRS, collaborating on the project: Development of a enzymatic immunodiagnostic system for hepatitis B and C. During his Master and Doctoral period, collaborated in the Biophysics and Inflammation Laboratory at PUCRS working on animal sepsis models, acute pulmonary lesion models and mesenchymal stem cells. Received a CNPq international one-year stay grant, for working at Universitat de Barcelona. During this time, gained proficiency in molecular biology techniques and developed international collaboration projects. In 2017, participated as a guest professor in the Pathology Graduation Program at Universidade Federal de Ciencias da Saúde de Porto Alegre, lecturing on inflammatory processes in the etiology of pathologies. Received a post doctoral CNPq grant in 2018, for international research at the Physiological Sciences' Center of Universitat de Barcelona developing the project ?Selective autophagy mechanisms regulated by the ubiquitin ligases HERC?. Currently is a post doctoral researcher at Universitat de Barcelona working on cell signaling, protein-protein interactions, ubiquitination, autophagy, HERC proteins and MAPK.
