Samuel Santana Malheiros

PhD candidate in Clinical Dentistry (Prosthodontics) at the Piracicaba Dental School University of Campinas (FOP-UNICAMP), supported by a scholarship from the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP). Holds a Masters degree in Clinical Dentistry (Prosthodontics) from the same institution, also funded by FAPESP, during which he served as the student representative on the Graduate Studies Committee at FOP-UNICAMP. Currently enrolled in the Prosthodontics specialization program at FOP-UNICAMP. In 2024, was awarded the MITACS Globalink Research Award to conduct a research internship at the College of Dentistry, University of Saskatchewan, Canada, focusing on proteomic techniques and biomaterials engineering. Graduated in Dentistry from the School of Dentistry at Araraquara São Paulo State University (FOAr-UNESP), where he received the Professor Doutor Raphael Lia Rolfsen award for the best clinical academic performance in his class (2022). Completed three undergraduate research projects in the fields of Biostatistics and Scientific Methodology, funded by PIBIC (2018/19; 2019/20) and FAPESP (2021/22). Holds training in Conventional and Implant-Supported Fixed Prosthodontics from FOAr-UNESP. Participated as a member of the Advisory Committee of the Academic League of Primary Care and the Organizing Committee of the FOAr-UNESP Dental Congress. Took the graduate-level course Statistical Planning and Data Analysis as a non-degree student. Serves as a technical reviewer for the Brazilian Journal of Oral Sciences and as a scientific reviewer for the international journals Heliyon and BMC Oral Health.
