Birthplace: Brazil

Professor at the University of São Paulo, specializing in the study of the role of fluids in geological processes. He holds a degree in geology and a master's in geosciences from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP, 2008 and 2012) and a Ph.D. in geosciences from the University of São Paulo (USP, 2018). He has experience in the study of metallic mineral deposits using petrography, stable isotopes, and fluid inclusions. He also has expertise in basin analysis, including sedimentary facies analysis, sedimentary petrology, and organic geochemistry (saturated biomarkers and general oil composition analysis). Between 2011 and 2023, he worked at CENPES, the Leopoldo Américo Miguez de Mello Research and Development Center at Petrobras, focusing on applied fluid inclusion studies and organic geochemistry. He also has experience in basin fluids, diagenetic evolution, and petroleum systems, as well as the application of Raman spectroscopy techniques in geosciences. Currently, his research focuses on hydrothermal base metal (Zn, Pb, and Cu) deposits and carbonate reservoirs of the Pre-Salt in the Santos Basin. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
