Birthplace: Brazil

Professor at the University of São Paulo, with a research focus on the role of fluids in geological processes. He holds a degree in Geology and a Masters in Geosciences from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP, 2008 and 2012), and a PhD in Geosciences from the University of São Paulo (USP, 2018). His expertise encompasses the study of metallic mineral deposits through petrography, stable isotope analysis, and fluid inclusions, as well as basin analysis, sedimentary facies, sedimentary petrology, and organic geochemistry, including saturated biomarkers and bulk oil composition. Between 2011 and 2023, he conducted research at CENPES, the Leopoldo Américo Miguez de Mello Research and Development Center of Petrobras, with an emphasis on applied fluid inclusion studies and organic geochemistry. He also possesses experience in basin fluid dynamics, diagenetic evolution, petroleum systems, silicate melt inclusions in volcanic and subvolcanic rocks, and the application of Raman spectroscopy in geosciences. His current research focuses on Pre-Salt carbonate reservoirs, hydrothermal base metal (Zn, Pb, Cu) deposits, and the geology of geothermal systems. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
